Along with the Online Registration process all players must download, sign and return a
Player Participation Waiver. Players under 18 years of age must have a parent signature.
HOW DOES CALI PROSPECTS CAMP WORK? WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
The Cali Prospects Camp is the premier California Hockey Showcase of the year. This years camp will run April 9-12, 2020. Players must register online and pay the necessary camp fee's to be eligible for the Cali Camp player draft. The player draft will take place the first week of April. There is limited space so unfortunately not all players will be selected. If you are not select you will be automatically put on a waiting list. For all players who are selected to participate you will receive a confirmation email with your team and camp schedule information.
WHAT DOES THE WEEKEND SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE? HOW MANY GAMES DO WE PLAY?
Registrations begins on April 9th at the Toyota Sports Performance Center. Following player registration, players and families are invited to attend the junior coaches symposium (TBD) which will last for approximately 2 hours and end with a question and answer segment. Games will begin on April 10th. The older group (group one) will play 4 games total with (1) games on day one, (2) games on day two and (1) game on day three in a showcase format. The younger group (group two) will play 2 games total. At the end of each game select scouts will vote on a "player of the game" for both teams who will receive a special gift.
DO I GET REFUND IF I DON'T GET DRAFTED OR ADDED TO A TEAM THIS YEAR?
Yes. Full refunds will be given to anyone who is not selected in the draft and or does not wish not to be on the waiting list.
DO I GET REFUND IF I WITHDRAWN FROM THE EVENT AFTER GIVING PAYMENT?
Yes. You will get a full refund as long as it is not within 10 days of the event. If you are drafted and decide to not participate within the 10 days there will be a $100 administrative deposit. If there is a special circumstance please reach out to us and we will determine on a case by case basis.
WHAT TYPES OF JUNIOR TEAMS HAVE COME TO THE CAMP IN THE PAST?
In the past ten years we've had hundreds of scouts, coaches, general mangers and player representatives attend the showcase. Here is a quick list of leagues and teams who have attend and scouted the showcase. NCAA teams do attend during off peak black out periods. NHL, NCAA Division I / III, USHL, BCHL, NAHL, AJHL, SJHL, USPHL, EHL among others.
WHAT BIRTH YEARS ARE PARTICIPATING THIS YEAR?
This year there are two birth years participating:
Group One: 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 (4 games guaranteed)
Group Two: 2006 and 2007 (2 games guaranteed)
WHAT IS THE JUNIOR COACHES SYMPOSIUM AND SEMINARS?
Players will check in on registration day and receive their jersey, sock and are invited with their families to attend our educational coaches seminar hosted by several different coaches and scouts from the prominent leagues across North America presenting. The seminar will be approximately 2 hours ending with a question and answer forum.
WHAT IS THE DRAFT? HOW MANY TEAMS AND PLAYERS WILL BE DRAFTED?
The draft takes place the first week of April. The draft committee consists of 10 coaches selecting from all registered players until all teams and positions are filled. There will be 6 teams in Group One and 4 teams in Group Two. Total rosters will consist of 10 forwards, 6 defenseman and 2 goalies per team.
